Dr. William W. Thomas
Dr. Thomas has been in the specialty practice of orthodontics for 18 years. He earned both his dental and orthodontic degrees from Georgetown Dental School in Washington DC, Upon graduation from dental school, he was selected into the prestigious national dental honor society OKU, received awards for outstanding Prosthodontic (dentures) and Pediatric treatment, and graduated in the top 5% of his class.
Dr. Thomas was born and raised in San Diego and graduated from the University of San Diego (Magna Cum Laude). Upon graduation he was selected outstanding graduating male student and delivered the senior address. Additionally, Dr. Thomas played on the football team where he was selected Captain and nominated for All-American his senior year while playing inside linebacker.
Our treatment philosophy focus’s on the concept of using gentle pressure, with longer treatment intervals between some appointments, to move teeth. Teeth, gums and bone respond remarkably well under light force conditions.
Office Manager
Scarlett Thomas has been in the Orthodontic field for over 24 years. After receiving her degree as a Registered Dental Assisting , Scarlett continued her professional education by later attending The Graceland College Center for Professional Development where she completed her Certificate in Communications. Her professional and entrepreneurial accomplishments have included owning and managing her own lab and creating Orthodontic Management Solutions, a leading orthodontic consulting firm. While owning her own consulting firm, Scarlett has worked along side Dr. Thomas as his office manager since 2001. She has extensive experience in leading teams, training staff as well as systemizing orthodontic practices.
Marketing Director and Financial Coordinator
Yasman Zarabi received her Bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from San Diego State University. She began working for Dr. Thomas in 2004 and has extensive experience in the field of orthodontics. For many years Yasman has focused on developing solutions to implement and streamline the practices systems. In addition, Yasman is also responsible for developing and executing the marketing plan as well as over seeing the financial department. As the leader of our marketing team, Yasman manages all public relations, patient events and advertising campaigns. She is a valuable asset to our company and an instrumental part of the practices team.
Administrative Assistant
Melissa R. Wells, a San Diego native, holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Irvine. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree and eventually, P.H.D. Melissa holds the title of Administrative Assistant and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to all patients.
Administrative Assistant
Renee Norton, a San Diego Native, is a Registered Dental Assistant. She began working for Dr. Thomas in 2007. Renee coordinates the scheduling for all Dr. Thomas patients. She is extremely knowledgeable and can answer your questions and provide details about any of our services. Whether it is answering phone calls or assisting our patients with scheduling , Renee takes pride in providing outstanding service and support to both her teammates and our patients.
Communication Director
Lanie Stolis, a San Diego native, has been working for Dr. Thomas since 2006 and holds the title of Communication Director. Lanie is responsible for all written communication including newsletters, patient reports and meeting agendas. She plays a key role in office meetings, and manages relationships with our patients. She is a dedicated and committed member of our team who can successfully manage several important projects simultaneously. There are very few people who are as good at multi tasking as Lanie. She is the go to person at Dr. Thomas’s practice who is always ready to help with a welcoming smile.

Jessica Rosal graduated from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach. She holds the title of Registered Dental Assistant and has worked for Dr. Thomas since 2005. Jessica has an extensive backround in orthodontics and is a valued asset to our practice. Jessica is committed to helping patients achieve a perfect smile while providing them with exceptional customer service.
Registered Dental Assistant
Tiffany DeRouchey graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. Tiffany moved from the San Francisco bay area to pursue a dental assisting career. She has worked for Dr. Thomas since 2009 and has held the title of X-Ray Technician and currently Registered Dental Assistant. Tiffany is in charge of all ordering for the clinic as well as generating systems to streamline patient care. Tiffany works hard to provide each patient with remarkable service.
Records Technician
Jessica Letellier was born and raised in Maine. She graduated from Concorde Career College with a degree in Dental Assisting. Prior to her dental career she supported our military, stationed on the USS Ronald Reagan in Coronado. She served as an electrician. Jessica has been employed with Dr. Thomas’ office since 2009 as our Records Technician. Jessica is responsible for taking all x-rays and photographs as well as the sterilization process of instruments. She is a dedicated employee who enjoys her career, always has a smile on her face and loves interacting with all of our patients.
